return policy

returns of full-price merchandise must be made within 30 days of purchase. we accept returns of unused, unworn products with original hangtags and packaging attached.

returns on sale merchandise must be made within 14 days of purchase. final sale merchandise—including merchandise discounted by 50% or more before promo codes are calculated—cannot be returned. products must be unused, unworn, and in good condition with original hangtags and packaging attached. all original packaging must be intact.
surprise sale and select promotions are considered final sale merchandise and cannot be returned online or in our shops.

we accept returns of products purchased online and shipped within the united states and canada only. items purchased through any of our physical shops or wholesale partners must be returned to the place of purchase. items purchased on katespade.com may be returned or exchanged at a kate spade new york retail shop. orders shipped to canada may not be returned to retail shops in the united states.

kate spade new york by lenox items may only be returned to our online store. these items may not be returned to our kate spade new york retail shops.
unworn swimwear may only be returned with original hangtags attached and with original liner intact.
lighting is considered final sale and cannot be returned. we carefully inspect each lighting item prior to shipment.
personalized items through our monogramming program are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.
legwear removed from the packaging, as well as fragrance rollerballs, are final sale only and cannot be returned online or in our retail shops.

returning by mail (u.s.)

we accept returns of unused, unworn products with original hangtags and packaging attached. returning eligible items by mail is free with our prepaid label.

step 1
complete the returns section of the original packing slip. if you are returning a gift, include your email address in the returns area of the gift packing slip.

step 2
pack your items and packing slip. pack them securely, in the original package if possible. keep the non-returns portion of the packing slip for your records.

step 3
affix the prepaid shipping label to the package. make sure no other tracking labels are showing. if you have misplaced your free return label, contact us at 866-999-5283.

step 4
ship it back.

we recommend that you use ups or insured parcel post. note the tracking number for your records.

damaged or defective items

in the case of items damaged during shipment, please immediately contact our customer care department at 866.999.5283. we will work with you to replace your item as fast as we can. if we are able to locate a replacement, we will send it to you at no charge to you, and will ask you to return the damaged/defective item to us using our free return service.

price adjustments

price adjustments will be honored within 7 days of the original purchase date and will be refunded in the original form of payment.

refunds & credits

you can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 30 days of our receiving your returned product.

your refund will include the cost of the item, plus any applicable sales tax. shipping and handling costs are non-refundable unless the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.

gifting charges are non-refundable.

gift cards and e-gift cards will be refunded as first method of payment on all refunds where the order involved use of gift card or e-gift card.
