We accept returns of products purchased online and shipped within the United States and Canada only.


Merchandise eligible for return must be unused, unworn, and in good condition with original hangtags and packaging attached and must be returned within 30 days.


Final sale merchandise includes Kate Spade New York by Lenox items, fragrances, and merchandise discounted by 50% or greater off the original price.


Unworn swimwear may only be returned with original hangtags attached and with original liner intact.
Legwear may only be returned with its original packaging intact.


Once your return is received, it could take up to 5 -10 days for it to be processed.

Items purchased through any of our physical shops or wholesale partners must be returned to the place of purchase.

You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 5-10 business days of us receiving your returned product. Note: we do not accept c.o.d. Deliveries or exchanges.

If you would like to exchange an item, you may do so free of charge within 30 days of receipt. All items are eligible for exchange in any Kate Spade New York specialty shop. Exchanges for select handbags, shoes, wallets and clothing items may be initiated online. To exchange all other items by mail, we recommend returning the item and purchasing the new color or size to ensure product availability.


How to exchange a handbag, shoe, wallet or clothing item online:


Step 1
To start your exchange, click here.


Step 2
Select the original item you would like to exchange, then choose a different size or color, if available. You will receive an email confirming your exchange.


Step 3
To ensure inventory availability, please ship the original item to our distribution center within 3 days of initiating the exchange. You will receive an email once your original item has shipped.


Step 4
We will notify you via email when your original item arrives back in our distribution center. Following that, we will process your exchange, and you will receive a confirmation email once your replacement item has been shipped. Please note if the replacement item is not available, you will receive a full refund to your original form of payment. Lastly, if we do not receive your original item at our distribution center, your exchange will be cancelled.


All exchanges are subject to inventory availability and adherence to our returns policy. Original items must be unused, unworn with original hangtags and packaging attached. To avoid damages, we recommend trying on footwear in clean, carpeted areas. Initial shipping charges are not refundable. All outlet orders and items marked "Final Sale" are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or price adjustments.


In the case of items damaged during shipment, please immediately contact our customer care department at 866-999-5283. We will work with you to replace your item as fast as we can. If we are able to locate a replacement, we will send it to you at no charge to you, and will ask you to return the damaged/defective item to us using our free return service.

Items purchased at full price, that are still in stock, are eligible for a one-time price adjustment if the item has been marked down within 7 days of the original date of purchase.


Final sale or items purchased using a promotion code or other discount aren't eligible for a price adjustment. See the specific promotion terms and conditions details.


For in-store purchases, please take your original receipt in to the store within 7 days of the original purchase date.

Your refund will include the cost of the item, plus any applicable sales tax. Shipping and handling costs are non-refundable unless the return is a result of a manufacturer error or a shipping error on our part.


Gifting charges are non-refundable.


A new e-gift card will be issued and sent by email on all refunds where the order involved use of a gift card or e-gift card as the only payment method.


If you are returning an item that was shipped to you as a gift, you will receive an e-gift card containing your refunded amount.
