Rated 1 out of 5 by Planowylde Looks great, poorest of poor quality The first Kate Spade New York Rain Check Umbrella I received was bent upon arrival. The center, metal shaft was bent where the top spring protrudes through the shaft, thus rendering the umbrella completely useless. The company quickly sent a replacement, no questions ask. The replacement arrived in good condition, or rather, in visibly good condition. I used the new umbrella for the second time today and one of the Ribs snapped off at the point where the Stretcher connects to the Rib. Now this umbrella, like its predecessor, is completely useless. While the Kate Spade New York Rain Check Umbrella looks great, it is made with cheap, flimsy metal resulting in the poorest of poor quality. Do not waste your money on this umbrella. June 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glenda cute umbrella My granddaughter opened this on Christmas morning and immediately ran outside to try it out ... she loved it. You can look straight out of it and the wind won't catch it. Cute addition to any outfit on a rainy day. December 26, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by SLynne So far, so good! Only been able to use this umbrella once so far since my purchase. Was getting tired of cheap ones breaking, so decided to splurge a little with this one. So far, I love it! Not sure how it holds up to wind yet, but I like that I don't have to tilt it a certain way to see what's in front of me. It's transparent, which is actually really nice. So far, so good! November 23, 2015

Rated 1 out of 5 by AmandaRae29 Broke first time using This umbrella is very cute, but it broke the first time I used it. The metal rod bent and sliced the outside plastic (which wasn't very good quality), and the rod wouldn't bend back. So the umbrella was sliced and not even able to be opened. June 1, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by HYC1104 AWESOME DESIGN but POOR QUALITY I love this umbrella so much that when I lost my first one, I ordered another one right away!!! I did not have problem with my first one, it just simply got stolen. I used it during the rain (Summer 2014) but my second one, got broken the FIRST TIME I used it (Winter 2014)! It was snowing and windy, one of the metal bar bend so badly that it eventually broke. I really don't expect a $38 umbrella to break like this - I think a $5 dollar ones from the street would have a longer life. I am now debating if I should get my third umbrella because I love the design so much... Really disappointed a the quality... yet super satisfied with the look. Oh life! Why can't everything just be perfect? March 7, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by petitparis raincheck umbrella - pretty impractical I bought the umbrella online during the recent F&F sale. I've always wanted to have a clear umbrella to see my path better during downpours, so I thought, why not get something adorable and chic from one of my favorite stores? It turns out this is my most disappointing KS purchase. It is retro in the wrong way. It doesn't have a pushbutton to open it automatically - the most basic design element expected of any umbrella in 2014! You have to find and fiddle with the plain metal bottom spring at least a quarter of the way up the shaft to open it. Can you imagine doing that in the rain while holding other things? I've had free umbrellas that had a pushbutton and were made of sturdier material. Even the top of the plastic canopy was sewn askew. The construction quality is definitely below the usual KS standard. The only pros were the non-slip crook handle and the "raincheck" print. Sad that I had to send it back. October 23, 2014
