What I like about Kate’s products is that they feel as though they were made for me. It’s as if the designer has a personal relationship with me, knows me, and designed each piece specifically with me in mind. Of course, taste plays a role, so I don’t love everything in every collection. But the pieces I do love speak to my soul effortlessly. That feeling is rare in this day and age, where so much is machine-made or driven by artificial intelligence. Kate Spade’s products feel made with love and with imagination, human, natural imagination. Like the fairytale books my mother used to read to me as a child.
