I ended up purchasing both colors, as the product page has the color names and photos swapped. Both arrived with their correct color names, thankfully. I really liked the look of the black sweater in the photos, and it's the one I originally wanted, but I'm glad I ordered both. It's not prevalent that there is a silver thread border around the sleeves, waist, and neckline. For me, the silver thread looks like dust and paired with the scalloping waistline, draws unnecessary attention. The shade of gray could also be darker black, as it looks aged right out of the garment bag. The sweater in the color cream was a pleasant surprise for how much I ended up liking it. The silver thread is also on the trim, but it is complementary and elevates the style more, IMO. I wish it were more durable and machine washable (it's dry clean only), or I would add it to my regular rotation of outfits. The fit is great, and would also be nice for someone with longer arms. It layers over a tank top/cami beautifully. The only improvement to sizing would be making the torso longer for better proportions. Overall, I'm happy I was able to try both out and glad that I have one new (cream colored) nice sweater in my closet.
