wedding belles (and whistles): something blue

August 10, 2011  |   column: DELIBERATE POLISH

we love a good tradition, like the romantic idea of walking down the aisle with something old (vintage handkerchief, check), something new (floaty white gown, of course), something borrowed (your mother’s lace veil, done) and something blue (that’s where we come in, whew!). we’ve got an ocean of options in cool blue hues—our august color of the month—for when you say ‘i do.’

glide down the aisle in a pair of our satin peep-toes, adorned with ultra feminine flourishes, such as intricate pleating (1), blooms (2), bows (3) and t-straps (4).

for a little sparkle, draw eyes to your perfect chignon while keeping flyaways in check with our sweet straight barrette (5). our delicate petit rouge earrings (6) will also add a dose of delight.

for a lot of sparkle, our smoke in mirrors bracelet (7) and necklace (11) feature a glamorous cluster of colored glass crystals. or opt for our crystal chandelier earrings (8) to make a major statement when your hair is swept back. you can also try our cascade bib necklace (9) to accentuate a pretty sweetheart neckline.

say it with flowers: add a dash of charm to your other hand with our flirty date night ring (10), made from tissue thin silk georgette.

capture little moments throughout the day to instagram later with a baby blue iphone case (12) covered in a spray of dots.

get carried away: keep our knightsbridge shayla bag (13) within easy reach—it’s perfectly shaped to hold a mirror, powder and lipstick for touchups between photographs. you can also float into the reception carrying our aqua bixby clutch (14), roomy enough to fit a pair of flats for when you hit the dance floor. tuck your vows and extra tissue into our knightsbridge little gia pouch (15) and take it down the aisle, hidden beneath your bouquet.
