take a peek at the making of our custom vespas, and enter for a chance to call one your own

we’ve bedecked everything from sneakers to storage trunks to dinnerware with graphic florals by florence broadhurst this season, but our most unique endeavor yet goes to these custom vespa lx-50 scooters, which you can enter for a chance to win on facebook.

we trekked to brooklyn to see tommy—owner of prestine auto body and one of vespa’s top custom-design artists—and take a peek at the scooters in the works. the days-long process began by bathing each scooter with a few fresh coats of paint, then applying intricate vinyl appliques to be used as stencils. finally, tommy completed the bikes by painting a coat of contrasting color. the result? striking scooters embellished with our favorite florals of the season.

editors, bloggers and our industry friends have gone wild for the vespas since their debut at our spring 2012 presentation, and we’re giving two of them away. enter for a chance to win one, along with a $500 kate spade new york gift card, at facebook.com/vespausa. good luck!
