the wildly creative chocolatier and chef janice wong has more than a little bit in common with willy wonka in all the best possible ways: she folds in local southeast asian ingredients like jackfruit, durian, red beans and palm sugar to create utterly unique desserts. she’s been named asia’s best pastry chef by the world’s 50 best (twice!). She also owns her own sweets shops, 2am: dessert bar and recently opened 2am:lab, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring culinary innovation.
we were so delighted to have wong treat guests at our ION orchard shop in singapore to a chocolate art demonstration, unveiling painted bonbons and more surprises after guests worked up an appetite shopping chocolate-bar clutches and other closet confections from our fall collection.
