ready to go with the glow?

from twinkling lights to chandelier prisms, it's a whole new way to play with color
November 27, 2012  |   column: WHAT'S NEW

we have two words for you apart from happy holidays (but first: happy holidays!): get glowing!

it’s something we’ve been saying around the office and in our mailer (do you have one? just swing by one of our shops), and our store windows this month. as winter sets in and twilight comes even earlier in the day, the phrase begins to take on a whole host of new fun meanings.

you could make a neon sign like the ones we did above with el wire (the el stands for electroluminescent), or simply string up masses of twinkling lights across your ceiling or in a topiary tree. you could wear bright hues like vivid pink and pale blue with a pop of metallic against black to your next party, or clasp a bright cuff over black opera gloves. try filling a fireplace with candles lit in different jewel tone hues, or decorating a tree or fireplace mantle with old chandelier prisms.

#getglowing is the hashtag on our instagram this holiday season — we’d love to see what you’ve got glowing.
