rainbow skies

a glimpse at the artful hot air balloons at world's largest ballooning festival
January 08, 2015  |   column: DELIBERATE POLISH

seeing a real hot air balloon floating through the air is akin to spotting a rainbow, both literally and figuratively: they’re a unexpected and magical sight. whether done in bright blocks and drips of color, rainbow or sunset stripes, or motifs that look as if re-imagined from the inside of a candy shop, each one is elegantly unique.

(these are but nine of the over 600 balloons that you’ll see at the albuquerque international balloon fiesta every october. 268 days and counting…)
