looking to become known for more than just its inexhaustive catalog of colors, pantone has opened a hotel in brussels. the new york times/t magazine blog features a story about the pantone hotel which, among other clever conceits, offers “color consultations with pantone experts” and a library stocked with color therapy volumes.

as the fall 2011 fashion runway shows come to a close, women’s wear daily reports that pantone, the mick jagger of the color world, has compiled a chart of the most popular shades selected by designers for next season’s collections. we’re especially partial to the deep teal, bamboo and coffee liqueur so stay tuned for our take on this palette.
