to celebrate the launch of westward, kate spade new york creative director deborah lloyd and actress emma roberts hosted an intimate dinner for a few of their friends in los angeles. see how the star-studded fête unfolded…

the hostesses: emma roberts, looking like an utter delight in our black and white ribbon mirabelle dress and westward ingénue clutch, joined forces with ksny creative director deborah lloyd (in our gold malerie jacket and sequined ingénue clutch) and emily current and meritt elliott—the duo behind denim brand current/elliott.

the place: a private member’s only rooftop terrace at the petit ermitage hotel in west hollywood.

the guest list: 40 vips, including glee’s chord overstreet, michelle trachtenberg (wearing our notched june dress), ali landry (carrying the taupe wanderlust satchel), jaime king, zelda williams, gia coppola and sasha spielberg.

the scene: during cocktail hour, guests sipped mint juleps and champagne while scoping out the westward bags on display, as hostess emma roberts mingled with girlfriends jaime king and michelle trachtenberg (while stealing kisses from beau chord overstreet!). at sunset, partygoers took their seats for dinner under a blanket of stars to feast on strawberry arugula salad, petit filet mignons and salted caramel tartlets.

the table: we tucked letterpress menus into cabana-striped linens to match the theme of the party, and added a pop of color with hot pink calligraphy penned on custom vintage postcards, which served as place settings.

the swag: guests took home an ipod nano dressed in a custom gold case, filled with emily and meritt’s favorite tunes—perfect to take on a westward-inspired road trip!
