the let’s colour project: spreading happiness one town at a time

promoting the idea that color spreads joy and inspiration–a theory with which we wholly concur–the let’s colour project is a movement to mobilize citizens around the globe to brighten their communities with colorful paint. a group of international companies is sponsoring the program that has transformed schools, streets, houses and squares in cities including london, johannesburg, rio de janeiro and istanbul. the project’s website, www.letscolourproject.com, features a great color blog in addition to uplifting photos of residents enlivening staid, gray spaces. although the initiative has yet to make its way stateside, we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and grab a brush when it does.
