the ARMORY SHOW is on in nyc

this is where we're spending our entire weekend

the armory show at pier 92 and 94 here in manhattan is like a years worth of thursday nights in chelsea (the best night for going gallery hopping), mashed into one glorious weekend. two names at the top of our must-see list are new york-based norwegian artist bjarne melgaard, and installation artist diana thater, known for her creative manipulation of spaces using video and light. another highlight on our list is artist devon dikeou, who is inviting visitors to take centerpieces from her “always the bridesmaid, never the bride” installation at pier 94 a half hour before the close of the show.

take a sneak some of the works below, courtesy of the armory show. not in new york? not too worry. artsy.net (a site we love) has an extensive preview on their site, where you can also browse more than 2500 works from the fair.
happy weekend!
