whether you’re in the mood for a sweet treat (ice cream sandwiches, anyone?) or a something savory (crispy grilled cheese, please) get your fix from our favorite nyc food trucks. simply track each truck on twitter to find out where they’re parked, hop into a taxi and enjoy these street eats in a new york minute!

SAVORY

MILK TRUCK GRILLED CHEESE

craving comfort food? reach for milk’s classic, melt-in-your-mouth grilled cheese sandwich, made with aged wisconsin gruyere on crispy balthazar bread. an even way to enjoy it? dunked in their pureed plum tomato soup, of course.

RICKSHAW DUMPLING TRUCK

with executive chef anito lo at its helm, this cheeky asian truck serves up dumplings three ways: pork & chinese chive (our favorite!), chicken & thai basil or stuffed with organic edamame.  what we love most? each is accompanied by its own special dipping sauce in complementary flavors.

LUKE’S LOBSTER- NAUTI TRUCK

you know us, we love a good lobster roll. and anytime luke’s nauti truck is parked near our office, we always get our claws on their succulent shrimp, crab or lobster rolls, simply seasoned with a dash of celery salt and lemon-infused butter.

SWEET

VAN LEEUWEN’S ARTISAN ICE CREAM

nothing hits the spot during a nyc heat wave quite an icy scoop of van leeuwen’s artistan ice cream, churned with tip-top ingredients such as crunchy pistachios imported from sicily or fresh palm sugar by way of bali. you can usually find their pale yellow truck parked along the stylish streets of soho, meatpacking district or, like earlier this year, at the kate spade new york offices!

WAFELS & DINGES

wafelsanddinges.com

twitter: @waffletruck

enjoy a sweet slice of belgium with a light and crispy waffle drizzled with “dinges” such as dulce de leche, maple syrup or nutella. we like ours over the top with a scoop of their mouth-watering spekuloos ice cream.

COOL HAUS

eatcoolhaus.com

this so-cal dessert truck staple has finally made its way out east, bringing its playful, inventive ice cream sandwiches (such as beer & pretzels and bananas foster) to new york city. the icing on the cake, er, cookie? almost all their goodies are made with all-natural, organic ingredients.
